Customers Create Their Own Fine Silver Jewelry with New Program at Embellish
(Rocky River, OH - June 12, 2008) It no longer takes a silversmith to customize fine silver jewelry. With less than two hours' effort - and no prior experience - anyone can create affordable heirloom quality jewelry at Embellish, the create-your-own jewelry store in Rocky River.
This month Embellish becomes the first in Ohio to welcome Lilly Ollo(TM), a program that makes it simple to create lasting memories using artist created designs, text and even fingerprints. Finished pieces include customized pendants, bracelet charms, earrings, or other decorative dangles for key chains, cell phone or bookmarks.
Up to four pieces can be made at a time for $30. Customers start off with a packet of silver metal clay, made up of pure silver particles bound together with an organic non-toxic binder. They can mold, shape, press, stamp and cut the silver metal clay. Then they will dry it thoroughly before it is fired to nearly 1500 degrees Fahrenheit, which fuses the silver particles. The organic binder burns away and the resulting pieces are 99.9% pure silver as opposed to only 92.5% silver in sterling. The silver clay is made from 100% recycled and reclaimed silver, NOT strip mining - a point of pride with Lilly Ollo(TM).
While customers may drop in any time during store hours to learn about the new program, they are encouraged to sign up for "Clay Dates" held most Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings this summer at Embellish. Also, customers may host "How Charming" parties with their friends, for $30 per person.
Embellish celebrates its second anniversary at the end of June.
